Lemons, chocolate, juicy red tomatoes, anchovies, fresh bread, goats cheese, salty olives, salt, very cool cucumbers, caramalised onions, peaches, raspberries – I could go on. These are some of my favourite foods and ingredients. I love cooking – it relaxes me and it inspires me.
I am an Australian currently living in the USA. A mother of two little treasures; Lucy and Elouise. I have many passions and cooking is one of them. Several months ago I decided to archive all my recipes which then prompted this site and I am now cooking up a storm. Old faithfuls and anything new that catches my eye. Thankfully I am surrounded by people who love food – my husband and children in particular, they are my official tasters.
My Best Days Ever is aptly named because these are my best days ever, I have found peace with the world, an immense amount of joy and everything sings so to speak.
Cooking can be a wonderful and creative outlet – these recipes have been selected because they provide taste sensations. I hope you enjoy them as much as we have.
Ym yum yum!

I loved it when you cooked for me when you lived in Garran. You make the BEST salads I have ever tasted, that were consumed on Australia Day, many years ago at a beach in Vaucluse. So proud of you!

There are soft sentiments with each post. You are a person of joy and giving. There is a recipe to warm the heart and soul on your blog. Thanks, I enjoyed reading it. I live near Manly Beach Australia. I am currently studying writing/communications. I enjoy wine and food and just finished the Andrew Jeffords Wine Course. I can highly recommend it to anyone wanting to become au fait with wine tasting and wine knowledge.
Thanks for your kind words Emily! I would love to do a wine course and will certainly look into the one you mentioned when we move back to Australia. xxMichelle
